His initial objectives were to satisfy the needs of US based multi-national companies such as Avon, Estee Lauder and Revlon; by providing exceptional local service and shielding customers from the rigours of transaltantic shipments, stock shortages and production delays.
Joan Traynor
Managing Director Azelis UK
Joan Traynor is Managing Director of all Azelis UK operations, comprising Chance & Hunt (including Brown & Gillmer), S. Black UK and Broste UK effective from 1st October.
Joan’s appointment allows Neil Berry (previously MD of S. Black Ltd) to devote all of his time to his role as International Business Director (IBD) for Azelis Personal Care.
International Business Director Azelis Personal Care
Neil Berry graduated in Chemistry & Management from Loughborough University in 1981. Following 8 years at Beecham Products, (now part of GSK) developing oral hygiene and hair care products, Neil joined S. Black Ltd in 1988, as technical sales manager and became Managing Director during 1991. Neil now has 100% focus on his role as as International Business Director for Azelis Personal Care in Europe.
Andrew Raybould
Regional Business Manager - Personal Care, S. Black Ltd
Andrew is a Chemistry graduate from Imperial College, London with over 25 years of experience in the supply of raw materials principally to the Personal Care Industry. Following an initial career in technical sales, Andrew became Technical and Marketing Director at S. Black with specialist knowledge in sun care and skin care preparations. Andrew now heads up the Personal Care Business Unit in the UK.
Peter Hardy
Regional Business Manager - Food and Health, S. Black Ltd
Peter joined S. Black in 2001 soon after the company’s entry into the food sector. He has a degree in Nutrition & Biochemistry and has worked in the Food and Feed industries for over 25 years with roles in sales, technical, marketing and general management. Peter is largely responsible for the current portfolio & shape of S. Black’s Food Business Unit, which now has over 30 suppliers covering flavours, nutritional, functional and basic ingredients.
Trevor Bridger
Regional Business Manager - Pharma, S. Black Ltd
Trevor Bridger joined S Black in 2001 as the first dedicated healthcare sales person, with a view to establishing the Healthcare sector. He is a Graduate who has previously worked with starch and starch derivatives, in roles covering logistics, purchasing and sales. Prior to joining S. Black, Trevor gained extensive experience within a number of life science areas, with particular specialisation in the Pharmaceutical industry for a number of years.
